Scott Martin

Scott Martin is a Project Director and the Design-Build Market Leader for Walter P Moore’s Structures Group, bringing 26 years of experience to the practice.  Scott has been in a key leadership role on design-build projects throughout his career including the 20 years he has been with Walter P Moore. He currently fulfills a Project Director role for large projects nationally that benefit from his skills and expertise in integrated project delivery.

Scott has become a specialist in Integrated Delivery by capturing the benefits of collaboration with trade contractors to compress schedules and improve bid reliability and continuing to explore the innovative benefits of working with trans-disciplinary teams. He works across the related disciplines of structural engineering, enclosure engineering, secure design, and construction engineering.  

At his core, Scott is passionate about delivering projects with highly collaborative project teams.  As Design-Build Market Leader, he works with other leaders within Walter P Moore to improve our teams’ approach to project pursuit and execution.  His goal is to solidify the firms reputation as a nationally recognized, preferred partner for design-build and other alternative delivery projects.

In addition to project work, he takes pride in mentoring others both within his firm and in the industry. He served as president of the Florida Structural Engineers’ Association in 2013 and served as the 2022-2023 president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida. His goal with both organizations was to elevate and unify the engineering professions by collaboratively finding new ways for all to be successful.
