Services
About the Project
Our team provided a diverse range of structural engineering services for the planning phase of the multi-component King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC), an international research center exploring efficient petroleum use, reduced carbon footprints, sustainable energy solutions, and the adoption of new energy and environmental technologies.
Structural Guidelines
During master planning, we developed structural guidelines for the community, including design criteria and documentation of applicable codes and standards. Our team provided design development and detailed structural design for the Community Masjid, an embedded residential complex for the international community of top researchers who will work on the campus. Our design for this complex featured a distinctive 22-meter tall perforated concrete cube structure veiled with a custom curtain wall system.
We also provided structural peer review and detailed structural design review for the various buildings in the Iconic Center, a 200,000-square-foot complex that will house the institutional, administrative, and research functions.
