Proactive remediation for endurance
Project Facts

Overview
Our team not only addressed the construction repair needs of St. Paul’s and City Hospital parkades, but also identified additional deficiencies. Thanks to this foresight, repairs were made both to rectify existing waterproofing and structural issues, and also to preemptively prevent future failures. Repairs were then conducted with uninterrupted operation of the parkades throughout the process.

About the Project
Several distress conditions affecting waterproofing components and significant concrete deficiencies were identified in the St. Paul’s and City Hospital parkades, resulting in our team’s preparation of comprehensive construction repair documents. Going above and beyond, we also spotted design deficiencies in the post-tensioned slab system, leading to the development of emergency repair documents to rectify post-tensioning tendon failures and structural deficiencies. To aid the owner in prioritizing repairs and prolonging service life, a repair priority list was compiled which ensured both safety and longevity.
