About the Project
The entire project team worked collaboratively to develop a terminal that would adapt to the users needs, anticipating industry changes, additions, trends, and regulations over time. Additional security requirements post-9/11 are integrated into the design in a way that passengers don’t notice.
The major feature of this project is the consolidated international terminal that houses all international arrivals and departures in one location. It has “swing” capability for both international and domestic service. A centralized federal inspection facility with the capacity of handling over 2,800 passengers per hour is contained within the terminal building.
The new terminal includes national and regional food and beverage options, premium lounges, retail opportunities, and a fully integrated hotel all within an inviting, open, timeless environment.
