About the Project
The Office Tower is a 7-story building joined by a connector link at each adjacent level designed to resist progressive collapse. Both the Office Tower and the single story Annex are designed to resist GSA specified blast loading.
The design of the building was developed in conjunction with the 2030 Zero Environmental Footprint project goal with three consecutive objectives: reduction of energy and resources consumption, use of high performance building envelope and systems, and harvesting of renewable energy sources on-site. The building’s facade minimizes solar heat gain while making use of the daylight on the office floors. Innovative use of rainwater, well water, and reclaimed water reduce potable water consumption by 95%, and solar energy captured from the roofs of the buildings provide renewable electricity.
