About the Project
This $1.1 billion stadium features a retractable roof, an impressive exterior façade, and a towering glass wall that sweeps ironically above the stadium’s northern entrance. This monumental entryway connects patrons to the vibrant Texas Live! entertainment district, a hub of restaurants, retail outlets, entertainment venues, office space, and parking.
Beyond the promise of a climate-controlled environment, the stadium introduces luxury amenities, such as enhanced concessions, a dedicated kid’s zone, suites, lounge spaces, field-level boxes, and special viewing porches.
The new ballpark prioritizes safety, and Walter P Moore was tasked with achieving this objective without compromising on design. The resulting system of rated vehicle wall barriers guards against both accidental and intentional vehicle impact, achieving varying ratings tailored to specific site conditions and potential vehicle speeds, while seamlessly blending with the site’s architecture. The system offers protection while maintaining an inviting and fan-friendly atmosphere.
