Overview
Principal and Project Manager for Allianz Field, Justin Barton, was chosen by Engineering News-Record as a 2020 Top 25 Newsmaker. Recognized as an engineer of innovative sports structures, he led the team that delivered the first large-scale use of woven PTFE laminate at Allianz Field.
A life-long soccer fan, Barton was inspired by a visit to Allianz Arena in Munich to create a dynamic and luminous exterior in North America. Coming full circle, Walter P Moore partnered with Populus to create an MLS stadium that was also a work of art.
