Walter P Moore announces that David Landis has been appointed as the fifth Chairman of the Board in the firm’s 93-year history. Landis, a Managing Principal, succeeds Lee Slade, who served as Chairman for nine years and had an outstanding 45-year career with Walter P Moore.
With extensive experience and expertise in structural engineering, Landis has played a pivotal role in delivering creative and innovative projects throughout his tenure at Walter P Moore. He has been involved in over 50 sports projects nationwide, showcasing his specialization in sports facilities for collegiate and professional organizations.
Beyond his contributions to the firm, Landis is recognized nationally as an industry leader. He serves on the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Code of Standard Practice Committee and various AISC specification task committees. His appointment as Chairman reflects his dedication to engineering excellence and commitment to driving the firm’s strategic vision.
