• Working with a group of engineers in the pursuit of water resources, drainage, hydrology and hydraulics design related projects and the related clients;
• Proficient understanding and knowledge of frequently used software such as HEC programs, XP-SWMM, MOUSE, etc. and how the use of each addresses water resources issues.
• Sound technical knowledge, especially in the area of water resources engineering.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Work with the WRE team to identify and pursue water resources opportunities in which Walter P Moore can excel.
• Develop a national network of clients and consultant alliances to position the WRE group.
• Opportunity to experience GIS-based tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth Engine for watershed modeling and floodplain mapping.
• Get exposure to sustainable urban drainage systems, green infrastructure, and climate adaptation strategies for flood control.
• Opportunity to experience mentoring junior engineers and conducting knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Handling large datasets, real-time monitoring systems and automation systems.
• Get exposure to machine learning applications in hydrology and predictive analytics for flood forecasting.
• Existing Client network a plus.

• Working with a group of engineers in the pursuit of water supply design related projects and the related clients;
• Proficient understanding and knowledge of frequently used software such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS/ StormCAD etc. and how the use of each addresses Water,  Wastewater Network issues.
• Sound technical knowledge, especially in the area of Wet utility design (Water, Storm & Sanitary Sewer).
• Basic Civil 3D Skills
• Basic knowledge of drainage design and storm design
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge and understanding of U.S. and India design codes and standards.
• Knowledge in the development of construction documents, plans & specifications, Reports.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Computational Designer Intern with a background in Civil/structural engineering and passion for computational methods/software programming. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative software solutions tailored to streamline processes involved in structural analysis, design and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with foundational structural engineering knowledge and programming skills to enhance their experience in software development for engineering applications. Responsibilities will include managing a small team of engineers and technicians in the Pune/ Bangalore office, and coordinate all design work being shared by the project managers and engineers from the United States. Technical specialization and personal initiative are pluses. Position responsibilities will include:

• Managing a group of engineers and technicians in the performance of land/site development projects, public roadways and drainage projects, and related work including technical design, quality control, and project management.

• Learning all WPM CAD standards and Civil 3D within first month with the help of senior CAD technicians
• Assisting engineers and CAD technicians in daily Civil 3D tasks on projects
• Assisting team leads for creating exhibits and reports 
• Assisting civil team in any CAD related work on projects 
• Assisting CAD manager for creating new styles or template updates 
• Being proficient in all Civil 3D tasks within 6 months
