Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Computational Designer.  In this position the Computational Designer will focus on the development and application of advanced digital workflows and data driven strategies that continuously advance project delivery processes. The computational designer works across structural engineering teams in the delivery of complex projects and works under immediate supervision of other digital practice leaders in advancing our firmwide digital practice initiatives.

As an engineering intern in our structural engineering group, you will participate on project teams for architectural projects of all types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. Walter P Moore seeks a well prepared Senior Engineer to join our firm’s Construction Engineering Services team, a specialized team within the Structures Group.  In this role, the senior engineer will work on projects for contractors, steel fabricators and erectors, and the like.  Primary roles supporting their Project Manager will include: leading junior engineers, analyzing and validating structures at different stages of construction, developing construction sequencing for complex structures, analysis and design of temporary structures to support construction, and steel connection design.  Candidates must have strong computer analysis skills and coursework covering a broad array of topics in steel design.
