Senior Engineer - MME Structural

We are currently looking for an Senior Engineer in either our Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston or Austin office. This individual will be responsible for:
- Performing structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel or other miscellaneous structures
- Creating analysis models and interpreting results for 2D and 3D structural frames
- Assisting with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review
- Understanding load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculating applicable loads based on appropriate building codes
- Assisting with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structures team
- Preparing technical studies and reports

The candidate will have experience working on design and delivery of office buildings, healthcare facilities, sports venues and other large commercial structures with construction costs of $25 million and up.

Structural Technical Modeler

In this role as a Technical Modeler, you will work closely with the structural engineering team. Job tasks will include rapidly developing structural building information models (BIMs), annotating plan and details, creating three-dimensional renderings, rationalizing geometry for appropriate structural schemes, and assisting with creating structural narratives. Position requires written and spoken communication skills with frequent interactions with clients, architects and contractors. Our projects range vastly in scale, detail, and complexity, and this position requires being able to work on multiple projects at a time with engineers and modelers from multiple geographic locations.

A technical background in CADD and building performance modeling software is preferred. You'll develop a strong background in building façade and roofing assemblies, understanding of building science and thermal analysis concepts as well as a knowledge of modeling building performance and sustainability.Job Responsibilities will include:
- Assist Project Manager with project tasks
- Review and organize project-related documents
- Research building codes and industry standards
- Write assessment reports
- Perform field investigations, including non-destructive testing, travel required
- Performance modeling of enclosure assemblies using different software
