Thomas Duncan, PE, PTOE


Thomas Duncan has worked as a consultant for various local governments, highway departments, and metropolitan planning organizations. He has led numerous successful projects, ranging from traffic simulations to traffic, rail crossing and ITS Design. His experience also includes a wide variety of data collection and forecasting as well as designing, planning, and development of road realignments and improvements throughout the state of Texas and elsewhere. 

What gives you the most satisfaction in your work?
I get satisfaction in seeing a project grow from an idea on a page into something concrete in the ground benefiting the public.
What’s your favorite way to pass time?
I regularly support the Shriners and Big Love Cancer organizations. I serve on the City of Pearland’s Planning and Zoning Commission. My hobbies mainly involve chauffeuring 3 kids around to various activities.
What’s the best advice you’ve received—so far?
Follow through on your commitments.
If you had to choose a different career, what would it be?
If I wasn’t an engineer I would likely be a high school football coach.
