Orlando Garage Assessment Program
The City of Orlando required a condition assessment of seven parking garages to indicate the general condition of each structure. The review included precast and post-tensioned concrete structures, as well as structures with a hybrid structural system often referred to as a Keystone Joist system. Walter P Moore documented distress conditions in each garage, identified structural and waterproofing items in need of repair, and provided conceptual recommendations. Repair needs were prioritized and divided into the following categories: Immediate Life Safety Repairs, High Priority Repairs, Medium Priority Repairs and Low Priority repairs. We also prepared a 10-year Capital Asset Management Plan (CAMP) for each garage to assist the City with estimating and planning funding for the necessary repairs.
