The defining feature of this development is its infinity-edge Sky Pool, positioned 500 feet above Downtown Houston and boldly extending 10 feet beyond the building’s edge. As the tallest pool in Texas, its design seamlessly integrates world-class aquarium engineering. This luxurious high-rise building also boasts a poker suite, game room, indoor basketball court, virtual golf simulator, movie theater, cyber lounge, demonstration kitchen, and a temperature-controlled wine room with private lockers.

About the project
Soaring to a height of 500 feet, Market Square Tower offers commanding views of the Houston skyline and surrounding areas. One of the remarkable features of the 40-story luxury apartment tower comes at the very edge of the penthouse level — the amenity deck and pool — which has earned the tower the distinction of having “the tallest clear, cantilevered pool in the United States” and the first such in Texas.
The infinity-edged pool challenges swimmers to venture 10 feet beyond the building’s edge atop a transparent acrylic overhang through which they can view the downtown streets 500 feet below. The Sky Pool has captured widespread media coverage for its impressive engineering and is attracting the attention of risk-takers worldwide, even though it is for residents only.
Walter P Moore collaborated with aquarium specialists during the
early design stages of the pool, which is reinforced with waterproof concrete
and epoxy-coated rebar. The cantilevered extension is 8-inch-thick clear
acrylic and is designed to withstand hurricane conditions. Market Square Tower is setting new benchmarks for luxury in Houston and around the globe.
