Lincoln Elementary School
Lincoln Elementary School
In response to limited land and a growing elementary student population, the Anaheim City School District chose to go vertical when they built Abraham Lincoln Elementary. The result is a unique two-story campus in the heart of Anaheim with classroom, administration space and a state-of-the art library. Walter P Moore’s concentric braced structural system helped optimize site utilization while integrating the building into the mission-style architecture of the surrounding neighborhood. A monumental curved entry, gateway, curved grand stairway, and multi-purpose buildings combine to create a cohesive campus compatible with the District.
