Dilip Choudhuri, PE

President & CEO

As President and CEO, Dilip focuses on the strategic leadership of the firm, alignment of leaders across the firm, and mentoring key direct reports. He also chairs the Strategy Council and the Executive Committee for the Board of Directors at the firm. In the past, Dilip has provided strategic leadership in the growth of the Diagnostics practice of Walter P Moore. With more than 20 years of experience in restoration and forensic engineering, Dilip specializes in evaluating engineering materials from construction defects using specific laboratory techniques. He has built several specialty practice areas within the Diagnostics group including building enclosure, forensic analysis, restoration & renovation, and parking restoration.

Additionally, he held leadership roles as a former National Board Member and Past President of the International Concrete Repair Institute-Houston Chapter. Dilip is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and California and has a Master in Engineering Management and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from State University of New York.

Why did you choose Walter P Moore?
…the initial opportunity was to impact the growth of their Diagnostics Practice, which had a very small footprint within the cover of an established, blue-chip design engineering firm. I was driven by that challenge.

People I know and work with; stories of people overcoming great odds.
If you had to choose a different career, what would it be?
…copywriter in advertising or a film director or a musician – go figure.
